North Dakota State tops FCS Preseason Coaches Poll
North Dakota State is No. 1 in the Football Championship Subdivision preseason coaches poll.
NDSU is the three-time defending FCS national champion, and received 18 of the 26 first-place votes in the poll. Its opens the season against Iowa State on Aug. 30 and have won 24 straight games.
Eastern Washington, which received six first-place votes, Southeastern Louisiana, New Hampshire and Montana round out the top five.
Coastal Carolina is No. 6 and Towson, who lost 35–7 to NDSU in the national championship, is seventh. Jacksonville State, McNeese State and South Dakota State finish the top 10.

The Bison will try for an unprecedented fourth straight national title, but must do so with a new coach and a new quarterback. Craig Bohl took the head coaching job at Wyoming and defensive coordinator Chris Klieman was promoted. Carson Wentz takes over a quarterback for Brock Jensen, who graduated.
