West Virginia coach Dana Holgorsen: Recruiting involves lying
West Virginia coach Dana Holgorsen has some interesting thoughts about the recruiting process.
Speaking about new recruiting rules during a press conference Monday, Holgorsen said coaches lie to get recruits signed.
“I know you lie in recruiting a bunch, and that's just part of it.” Holgorsen said. "What are we actually doing? What are we actually feeding these guys? Our job is to get guys on campus."

Holgorsen is 21-17 in three seasons at West Virginia, including a 4-8 record last season. The Mountaineers open the season Aug. 30 against Alabama at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
"[Our players] spend a lot of time with the recruits, and I encourage them to tell the truth about what we give them and how we treat them,” Holgorsen said.
