The copper color is designed to honor the state of Arizona's history as a significant copper-producing state. The Sun Devils will wear all-white gloves and cleats with the new uniform.
Redshirt junior cornerback Lloyd Carrington on the uniform, from the team's website:
“I love the new uniforms because they provide a mixture of both traditional and modern styles. They allow us to have swag with a revolutionized twist, while maintaining a prideful connection with the Sun Devil fans from the past, present and future.”
Arizona State opens the season Aug. 28 against Weber State.
