Report: Nebraska lands Kansas transfer Andrew White
Forward Andrew White will transfer to Nebraska from Kansas, reports Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports. White announced his decision to transfer in May, after two years with the Jayhawks.
Rothstein reports that White will sit out next season in accordance with NCAA transfer policy, and that he will have two years of eligibility remaining after that. White, a 6-foot-6 small forward, was the No. 51 recruit in the class of 2012, according to Rivals.com.

Last season, White had to compete for playing time on the wing with Andrew Wiggins and Wayne Selden. Though Wiggins declared for the NBA draft and was selected No. 1 overall by the Cavaliers, White still faced competition from incoming freshman Kelly Oubre, a 6-foot-7 wing ranked the No. 6 recruit in the nation by Rivals.com.
White averaged 2.3 points per game in 43 career games at Kansas.
The forward also visited Notre Dame and Maryland this summer.

Kansas starting point guard Naadir Tharpe also left the program this offseason. Tharpe planned to transfer to be closer to his Massachusetts home, but later decided to turn pro and join the NBA's D-League.
Last season, Kansas went 25-10 and lost to Stanford in the round of 32 of the NCAA tournament.
