Syracuse junior tight end Josh Parris will undergo surgery after suffering a lower-body injury, the school announced Tuesday.
The surgery is scheduled for Wednesday. Parris' status for the upcoming season is unknown.

Parris, who was projected to start, appeared in all 13 games last season, catching 13 passes for 90 yards.
The Orange open the season Aug. 29 against Villanova.
