Rutgers Scarlet Knights 2014 football schedule
Rutgers spent last season in the American Athletic Conference and finished with a 6-7 (3-5) record. This will be the team's first season in the Big Ten, and they will immediately be put to the test with road trips to Ohio State, Nebraska and Michigan State.
The Scarlet Knights will start senior Gary Nova at quarterback for new offensive coordinator Ralph Friedgen. In 33 career games, Nova has 6,407 passing yards, 51 touchdowns and 39 interceptions. Friedgen will be Nova's fourth offensive coordinator in as many seasons.
Head coach Kyle Flood enters his third season with a career record of 15-11 at Rutgers. Last season, the Scarlet Knights lost in the Pinstripe Bowl against Notre Dame.
