The College of Charleston may look to re-hire Bobby Cremins as its next basketball coach, according to a report Wednesday night from Andrew Miller of The Post and Courier.

The College of Charleston may look to re-hire Bobby Cremins as its next basketball coach, according to a report Wednesday night from Andrew Miller of The Post and Courier. 

The plan would be to bring back the 67-year-old, who coached at the school from 2006-12, and add former Cougars guard Anthony Johnson to his staff as an assistant coach, according to the report. Cremins would be at the helm for this upcoming season, which opens for the school on Nov. 15 at Furman, and then Johnson would become the new head coach for the 2015-16 season. 

The school fired head coach Doug Wojcik at the beginning of August after investigations revealed he had verbally and physically abused players and staff members of the athletic department. 

Cremins went 125-68 in his six years with the Cougars, leading the team to three postseason appearances.
