Clemson won't redshirt Adam Choice following Zac Brooks' injury

Clemson freshman running back Adam Choice will not redshirt this season following Zac Brooks' season-ending injury, the school announced Thursday.
The team announced on Wednesday that Brooks, the team's leading returning rusher, will miss the season with a foot injury.

Choice, a four-star recruit, was scheduled to redshirt, but coach Dabo Swinney said the team needed another option in the backfield.
“With Zac’s injury we have just three healthy running backs to open the season," Swinney said. "You can’t go through a season with just three backs, so Adam Choice is going to play this year.”
The Tigers are looking to replace several key players from last season's team, as quarterback Tajh Boyd and wide receiver Sammy Watkins left for the NFL.
