UNLV guard Daquan Cook to miss season after tearing ACL
UNLV junior DaQuan Cook will sit out the upcoming season after tearing his ACL, the school announced on Wednesday.
Cook will redshirt and have two years of eligibility beginning in the 2015-16 season. Cook averaged 1.8 points and 8.5 minutes in 28 games last season.

"We feel terrible for Daquan," UNLV coach Dave Rice said. "He is an important part of our program and will have our full support as he goes through this challenge."
The Rebels had already lost multiple players from last year's team. Forwards Khem Birch and Roscoe Smith decided to turn pro, guards Bryce DeJean-Jones, Deville Smith and forward Demetris Morant transferred and guard Kevin Olekaibe completed his eligibility.
UNLV, which welcomes in a highly touted recruiting class and multiple transfers, went 20-13 and missed the NCAA tournament last season.
