San Antonio is hoping to bring the Final Four back to the city and will host a rally on Wednesday to try to persuade the selection committee.

The rally, which will be free to the public, will take place at a local mall. San Antonio hosted the Final Four in 2008, and the NCAA is scheduled to award the Final Fours from 2017 to 2020 in November.

Other cities that have put in bids include Atlanta; Minneapolis; Indianapolis; Arlington, Texas; Glendale, Arizona; and New Orleans. Glendale is the only city that has not previously hosted a Final Four.

“I think this will be a hard decision for the committee, specifically because each city has its own assets and all of them are very different,”  Andy Arnold, the NCAA's assistant director of the Division I men's basketball staff, said, according to the San Antonio Express-News.

Next season’s Final Four will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis and Houston’s NRG Stadium will host the 2016 event.
