Game Facts

Colorado State facts

Colorado State quarterback Garrett Grayson is 249 yards shy of becoming the seventh passer in school history with 6,000 career yards.

The Rams are young on the offensive line. After an injury to senior tackle Ty Sambrailo, the starting five will have a total of nine combined starts, which is the fewest in the FBS.

Colorado State has not surrendered a point in the fourth quarter in two games this season.

Junior linebacker Corey James is fifth nationally in FBS with 16.5 career sacks.

Sophomore punter Hayden Hunt is averaging 51.3 yards per punt this season. He averaged 40.7 yards per punt in 2013.

The Rams’ 31 points in their opener against Colorado were their most in a season-opener since 2003, when they rang up 35 on the Buffaloes.

Garrett Grayson threw for a career-high 434 yards in the loss at Boise State, the first 400-yard passer for Colorado State since Justin Holland against Wyoming in 2005.

Running back Dee Hart had 139 yards in his Rams debut against Colorado, tied for the most ever for a Colorado State running back in his first game. Ron Harris had 139 yards against New Mexico in 1974.

Dee Hart and Treyous Jarrells topped the 100-yard mark against Colorado, the first time the Rams have had two 100-yard running backs since 1996.

Colorado State is 39-9-1 against current FCS teams, with the team's last loss to an FCS opponent coming in 2012 to North Dakota State.
