ESPN’s College GameDay visits North Dakota State University in Fargo, N.D., in advance of Saturday’s matchup between the Incarnate Word Cardinals and the Bison, the three-time defending national champions currently ranked No. 1 in the FCS Coaches Poll. North Dakota State has won 26 straight games, including a 34-14 win at Iowa State to open the season and a 24-7 win at Weber State last week. Incarnate Word is in its first year in the Southland Conference and is 0-2, coming off a 38-3 loss at home to Stephen F. Austin.

North Dakota State facts
After a victory at Iowa State, North Dakota State has won its last five games against FBS foes, four of them from the Power Five Conferences. Since 2010, the Bison have won at Kansas, Minnesota, Colorado State and Kansas State.
The Bison’s 26-game winning streak is an FCS record, breaking the 24-game streak set by Penn from 1992-95 and tied by Montana from 2001-02.
North Dakota State opened with back-to-back road games for only the eighth time since 1950 and swept both for the first time since 1983.
The Bison are seeking to become just the second team in FCS history to win three straight national championships. Appalachian State did it from 2005-07.
Last season, North Dakota State became the first unbeaten FCS champions since Marshall went 15-0 and won the title in 1996.
The Bison have won 14 straight games at home and are 44-1 in their last 45 non-conference home games, including 34 straight since a loss to UC Davis in 2003.
This will be ESPN College GameDay’s second straight year visiting Fargo and just the sixth time since 1993 the show has been at a non-FBS game.
This is the first meeting between Incarnate Word and North Dakota State. The Bison are 9-1 all-time against Southland Conference foes, including back-to-back championship game wins over Sam Houston State in 2011 and 2012.
The Bison have won 15 straight home openers since a 23-21 loss to Emporia State in 1998.
Linebacker Carlton Littlejohn scored the go-ahead touchdown at Weber State last week on a 5-yard fumble return and also made 12 tackles.
