Iowa State senior offensive lineman Jacob Gannon has rejoined the team after stepping away earlier this month for personal reasons, the school announced on Monday.
In a statement, Gannon said he is being treated for anxiety.

“I have been recently diagnosed with anxiety. I am receiving treatment for my condition and I am looking forward to being a part of the football team. I want to thank Coach Rhoads and my teammates for their support.”

Gannon started eight games last season and is a three-year letter winner.
The Cyclones, who are 1-2 with losses to North Dakota State and Kansas State and a win over Iowa, host Baylor on Sept. 27.
