Eric Davis, a highly touted shooting guard from Saginaw, Mich., announced at his high school Tuesday that he has verbally committed to Texas.

Davis is the No. 52 player in the class of 2015, according to rankings on the recruiting website Rivals.com.

The 6-foot-2, 165-pounder is the first player in the class of 2015 to commit to the Longhorns.

The Longhorns went 24-11 last season.
