Rutgers RB Paul James out for season with torn ACL

Rutgers running back Paul James tore his right ACL in Saturday's 31-24 win at Navy and will miss the rest of the season, head coach Kyle Flood announced on Sunday.
The fourth-year junior and former walk-on has 363 rushing yards and five touchdowns this season for the Scarlet Knights (3-1), who play host to Tulane on Saturday.

James had 96 yards on seven carries against Navy before he was hit in the knee by a defender's helmet in the second quarter.
He ran for 881 yards and nine touchdowns last season despite missing four games with a broken bone in his leg.
Justin Goodwin and Desmon Peoples are expecting to shoulder the running back duties in James' absence.
