Suspended Jameis Winston warms up in full pads, then asked to change
It's been a week in which little has felt permanent for Florida State's Jameis Winston. Saturday, even the suspended quarterback's wardrobe became subject to change.
The school Wednesday initially suspended Winston for the first half of Saturday's game against Clemson for shouting an obscene phrase in the school's student union. Late Friday night, the school abruptly revised his suspension to last the entire game.
On Saturday Winston, who is ineligible for the entire game, raised eyebrows by participating in warm ups with his teammates in full pads, as the Tallahassee Democrat's Natalie Pierre pointed out.
Winston and head coach Jimbo Fisher then had a confab on the sideline in which it appears Fisher asked a surprised Winston to change out of his pads (h/t @gifdsports):
Winston obliged. Then, once back out of the tunnel, Winston cheered on his fellow quarterback corps.
