Four-star class of 2015 point guard Jawun Evans committed to Oklahoma State on Wednesday morning.

Four-star class of 2015 point guard Jawun Evans committed to Oklahoma State on Wednesday morning, Evans told ESPN.com.

Evans picked the Cowboys over Illinois, USC and offers from multiple other schools.

"Oklahoma State was the right fit for me," Evans said. "Coach [Travis] Ford was a point guard and I feel I can learn under him. I really liked their drills. They are intense and they will get me better."

"The style of play at Oklahoma State fits more with the way I already play with my travel team ... and that will make the adjustment easier," Evans said. "I like to push the pace and I am great on defense. I will pick up my teammates when they are down. Be a leader."

The 6-foot, 164-pounder is rated by Rivals.com as the No. 26 player in the country for 2015.

Evans, who hails from Dallas, becomes the second player in the Cowboys' recruiting class, joining junior college forward Igor Ibaka, the brother of Oklahoma City Thunder star Serge Ibaka.

Oklahoma State begins practice on Friday. The Cowboys went 21-13 last season and lost in the round of 64 of the NCAA tournament.
