Connor Cook threw for 126 yards and two touchdowns on 8-of-12 passing. Out of the backfield, Jeremy Langford rushed for 137 yards on 16 carries with one score. The Michigan State defense forced three turnovers and the Spartans held possession for more 10 minutes longer than the Cowboys.
09/20: Michigan State 73, Eastern Michigan 14
The 73 points scored by the Spartans was their third-highest total since 1946 and their most since hanging 76 on Northwestern in 1989. Michigan State’s seven rushing touchdowns were its most since scoring 10 TDs on the ground, a school record, also against Northwestern in 1989. Tony Lippett scored two touchdowns on three catches and Delton Williams rushed for three scores.
09/06: Oregon 46, Michigan State 27
Michigan State’s 11-game winning streak was snapped in the loss. Quarterback Connor Cook had career highs in passing yards (343), completions (29) and attempts (47). Tony Lippett had a career-high 11 receptions for 133 yards.
08/30: Michigan State 45, Jacksonville State 7
The Spartans improved to 79-36-3 all-time in season openers. Tony Lippett had the first 100-yard receiving game of his career, finishing with 167 yards and two touchdowns on four receptions. The game was just the 15th night game in the 91-year history of Spartan Stadium.

09/27: Nebraska 45, Illinois 14
The Huskers moved to 5-0 with a home win over Illinois. Ameer Abdullah rushed for 208 yards on 22 carries with three touchdowns, while Imani Cross added 109 yards on 22 carries with a score. Kenny Bell added 105 receiving yards on five catches with a touchdown. Nebraska finished with 624 yards of total offense, including 458 on the ground.
09/20: Nebraska 41, Miami 31
Nebraska improved to 40-5 in night games at Memorial Stadium. Ameer Abdullah shared Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors after rushing for 229 yards and two touchdowns on 35 carries; he also added a three-yard touchdown catch. Abdullah moved to third on Nebraska’s all-time rushing list in the game with 3,602 yards, trailing only Mike Rozier (4,780) and Ahman Green (3,880).
09/13: Nebraska 55, Fresno State 19
The Huskers passed their first road test of the season with 260 yards and three touchdown passes from quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr.Ameer Abdullahfinished with 110 yards on 19 carries, including a 57-yard touchdown in the first quarter. De’Mornay Pierson-El had an 86-yard punt return for a touchdown, the longest punt return since Eric Haag’s school-record 95-yarder against Texas in 2010.
09/06: Nebraska 31, McNeese State 24
Ameer Abdullah saved Nebraska against the FCS Cowboys by turning a short pass into a game-winning 58-yard touchdown reception with 20 seconds left. Quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. rushed for 131 yards, a career high, on 11 carries. It was the first 100-yard ground game for a Nebraska quarterback since Taylor Martinez in the 2012 Big Ten Championship game. The Huskers improved to 11-0 all-time against FCS opponents.
08/30: Nebraska 55, Florida Atlantic 7
Ameer Abdullah rushed for a career-high 232 yards on 21 carries. Nebraska’s 784 yards of total offense were its most since gaining 787 against Utah State in 1991, and its 498 rushing yards were its most in a game since putting up 451 against Kansas State in 2010.
