Northwestern officially unveiled on Monday its special alternate uniform for the school's Oct. 18 homecoming game against Nebraska.

Dubbed "Northwestern Gothic," the uniform pays homage to the school's campus. "Northwestern" is written on the front in typeface similar to that used on campus signs, the arches on the shoulders reflect campus architecture, and ivy detailing on the shoulders and pants allude to the ivy that covers several campus buildings. Northwestern's Arch is represented on the back of the helmet,

The color scheme used is purple, black and gold, which is a throwback to the school's former colors of purple and "old" gold.

After starting the season 0-2, the Wildcats have won three straight games, including a victory over Wisconsin on Saturday.
