UCLA linebacker/running back Myles Jack included the hashtag #FreeGurley in an Instagram post Monday in apparent support of suspended Georgia running back Todd Gurley.

The post includes a photo of Jack from Saturday's loss to Oregon and the hashtag referencing Gurley, as well as two other hashtags.

Gurley was suspended indefinitely by Georgia last Thursday due to a potential NCAA rules violation, which the school is currently investigating. Georgia didn't reveal the nature of the potential violation, but SI.com's Andy Staples reported that a person told Georgia that Gurley was paid $400 to sign 80 items of memorabilia in Athens, Ga., this past spring.

It was reported last Friday that Gurley could miss the entire 2014 season due to the ongoing investigation. Georgia announced the same day it had retained a lawyer for Gurley, and athletic director Greg McGarity said in a statement the same day that he was upset with the media's reporting of Gurley.

Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel, who was suspended for the first half of Texas A&M's season opener last season amidst an investigation into allegations he was paid for his autograph, tweeted his support for Gurley with the same hashtag on Friday.

Manziel later expanded on the tweet, saying he believes college athletes such as Gurley should be allowed to profit off their own image and likeness.

Gurley's case could be more difficult to resolve than Manziel's since it comes in the middle of the season, as outlined by Staples.

Gurley, a junior, was considered a candidate to win the Heisman Trophy before his suspension. He's carried the ball 94 times for 773 yards and eight touchdowns this season in six games.

Georgia defeated Missouri 34-0 in its first game without Gurley on Saturday. Freshman running back Nick Chubb had 143 rushing yards and a touchdown. The Bulldogs (5-1, 3-1) play at Arkansas this Saturday.
