Iowa Hawkeyes vs. Maryland Terrapins
The Iowa Hawkeyes will face the Maryland Terrapins in College Park on Saturday. The Hawkeyes are coming off a victory over the Indiana Hoosiers, while the Terps are coming off a bye week. They lost to the Ohio State Buckeyes in their last game.
Iowa is tied for the lead in the Big Ten West with Minnesota. Both teams are 2-0 in-conference. The Hawkeyes are 5-1 overall.

The Hawkeyes forced three turnovers and overcame 432 total yards of offense from the Hoosiers. QB Jake Rudock completed 19-of-27 passes for 210 yards and two touchdowns, while Mark Weisman gained 89 yards rushing with two touchdowns. Iowa held possession of the ball for more than 35 minutes in the game.
09/27: Iowa 24, Purdue 10
Iowa fell behind by a 10-0 margin before finishing the game with 24 unanswered points. QB C.J. Beathard completed only 17 of 37 passes, but he accumulated 245 yards passing and a touchdown through the air. Iowa outgained Purdue by a final margin of 420-156 in the game.
09/20: Iowa 24, Pittsburgh 20
Mark Weisman gained 88 yards on 22 carries, including two touchdowns. Iowa committed only two penalties and one turnover while coming back from a 10-point halftime deficit.
09/13: Iowa State 20, Iowa 17
In a rivalry game, Iowa was upended at home. The Hawkeyes netted only 275 yards of total offense in the game and committed two turnovers. Iowa allowed opposing quarterback Sam B. Richardson to produce two touchdowns and throw for 255 yards.
09/06: Iowa 17, Ball State 13
The Hawkeyes gained 455 total yards, including 342 passing yards, but in the end, Iowa needed a late touchdown to escape with a win. Jake Rudock completed 33 of 52 passes for 322 yards and two touchdowns and also led the team in rushing with 36 yards on seven attempts in the game.
08/30: Iowa 31, Northern Iowa 23
The Hawkeyes opened the season with an eight-point win over an in-state foe. Jake Rudock led the way offensively with 250 yards on 31 of 41 passing and two touchdowns, but Iowa was outgained 405-401 in total yards. The visiting Panthers committed two turnovers.
Maryland
10/04: Ohio State 52, Maryland 24
Maryland allowed 533 yards of total offense to the Buckeyes, including 264 yards through the air and 269 yards on the ground. The Terrapins turned the ball over four times and Maryland controlled possession for fewer than 24 minutes in the game. Maryland kicker Brad Craddock connected on a 57-yard field goal for the Terps' first scoring play of the day.
09/27: Maryland 37, Indiana 15
The Terrapins gained 484 yards of total offense and did not commit a turnover during their first victory as a member of the Big Ten. The quarterback duo of Caleb Rowe and C.J. Brown combined to convert 22 of their 33 pass attempts for 361 yards, and running back Brandon Ross averaged more than 10 yards per carry on the ground.
09/20: Maryland 34, Syracuse 20
The Terps were outgained by 220 yards, but Maryland took advantage of two Syracuse turnovers in the victory. William Likely returned an interception 88 yards for a touchdown to give Maryland a 31-13 advantage, and QB C.J. Brown completed 16-of-26 passes for 280 yards and two touchdowns.
09/13: West Virginia 40, Maryland 37
Maryland allowed the Mountaineers to accumulate 694 yards of total offense, including 511 passing yards from QB Clint Trickett. The Terps did gain 447 yards, highlighted by a 75-yard touchdown run from QB C.J. Brown, but Maryland failed to capitalize on a 4-1 advantage in the turnover margin.

The Terrapins committed six turnovers, but the defense slowed USF's offense to only 257 total yards. C.J. Brown threw for 201 yards and two touchdowns, and Wes Brown led the running game with 61 yards on 13 carries.
08/30: Maryland 52, James Madison 7
Maryland out-gained James Madison by a margin of 471-302 and forced former Georgia Tech QB Vad Lee into several mistakes, including three total team turnovers. The Terrapins were dominant on the ground, rushing for 285 yards, and they possessed the ball for nearly 34 of the 60 minutes.
