Texas Tech to wear all-black alternate uniform vs. Texas

It appears Texas Tech will wear an all-black "Lone Star Pride" uniform for its in-state rivalry game against Texas on Saturday.
Freshman defensive back Nigel Bethel II revealed the uniform on his Instagram account Friday.
The uniform, which features a helmet in the design of the Texas state flag and similar designs on the shoulders and sleeves, is part of a series used by Texas Tech against Texas each of the past two years.
The Red Raiders wore a red "Lone Star Pride" uniform design in 2012 and used a white uniform last season when they played Texas on the road. Texas Tech is 0-2 while wearing the uniforms, losing 31-22 to the Longhorns in 2012 and 41-16 in 2013.
