Alabama quarterback Blake Sims and wide receiver Amari Cooper connected on an impressive 50-yard play to set up a touchdown in the second quarter of Saturday's game against Mississippi State.

Sims faked a handoff to running back Derrick Henry before lofting a well-placed pass between two Bulldogs defenders. Cooper leapt and snagged the ball before being dragged down short of the goal line.

On the next play, Henry tries to punch the ball in for a one-yard touchdown. Officials initially ruled that Mississippi State had gained possession on a fumble.

Upon review, however, the Crimson Tide was awarded a touchdown. The score gave Alabama a 19-0 lead.

Alabama is 8-1 (5-1 SEC) and ranked fifth in the latest edition of the College Football Playoff rankings and Mississippi State is 9-0 (5-0 SEC) and ranked first.
