"[The Sooners] are going to give me a chance to play early and have a big role as a freshman," Pritchard told the Oregonian. "They play in a big conference, I love the atmosphere and I have family there, so that's a big deal."
Pritchard visited Oklahoma in early November and said he learned that his style of play fit right in with the Sooners.
The junior becomes the first 2016 commitment to coach Lon Kruger. Oklahoma's 2015 class currently consists of two three stars and four-star center Akolda Manyang.
Pritchard averaged 18 points and 7.5 assists as a sophomore in high school last season.
