11/15: Northwestern 43, Notre Dame 40
Notre Dame was ahead for most of the game, leading by as many as 11 points, before Northwestern came back late to tie the score and win on a field goal in overtime. In the fourth quarter, wide receiver William Fuller scored a touchdown and special teams blocked a field goal, but Notre Dame was unable to stop the Wildcats' offense in the final minutes of regulation, leading to a game-tying field goal with less than a minute remaining in regulation. The 'Cats kicked the game-winner in overtime after Notre Dame missed a field goal of its own. Quarterback Everett Golson finished with 287 yards for three touchdown and one interception and also had one fumble.
11/8:Arizona State 55, Notre Dame 31
The Fighting Irish lost their second game of the season on the road against Arizona State. After grabbing an early 3-0 lead, Notre Dame surrendered 34 straight points before scoring 28 unanswered points of their own to pull within three points. The Sun Devils, however, scored the final 21 points to seal the victory. Everett Golson completed 22 of 41 passes for 446 yards and two touchdowns, but he also threw four interceptions.
11/1: Notre Dame 49, Navy 39
Notre Dame came back from a 31-28 third quarter deficit to beat Navy. Everett Golson completed 18 of 25 passes for 315 yards, three touchdowns and one interception, while also rushing for three touchdowns. Tarean Folston had 20 carries for 149 rushing yards and a touchdown. Notre Dame managed to win despite allowing 336 rushing yards, including 138 to Noah Copeland.
10/18: Florida State 31, Notre Dame 27
The Irish dropped their first game of the season in a close loss to Florida State. A controversial pass interference call wiped a potential game-winning touchdown for Notre Dame off the board in the final seconds to seal the win for the Seminoles. Everett Golson threw for three touchdowns and two interceptions across 313 yards.
10/11: Notre Dame 50, North Carolina 43
Notre Dame narrowly escaped what could have been its first loss of the season in this shootout. The Irish fell behind 14-0 in the first quarter but staged a comeback to avoid the upset. QB Everett Golson threw for 300 yards and three touchdowns, and William Fuller had 133 yards on seven catches with two scores.
10/4: Notre Dame 17, Stanford 14
Notre Dame won on Everett Golson’s 23-yard touchdown pass to tight end Ben Koyack with 1:01 remaining. Golson finished with 241 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in the victory. The win marked the second time in three seasons that the Irish started 5-0.
9/27: Notre Dame 31, Syracuse 15
The Fighting Irish scored at least 30 points for the fourth straight game. Everett Golson completed 25 consecutive passes in the second and third quarters, falling one short of the FBS record set by Dominique Davis of East Carolina in 2011. Golson’s streak broke the school record of 14 set by Ron Powlus in 1997 and matched by both Brady Quinn in the 2006 Fiesta Bowl and Tommy Rees in 2011.
9/13: Notre Dame 30, Purdue 14
The Irish improved to 6-0 in Shamrock Series games. Notre Dame is now 6-2 all-time playing in Indianapolis, though the victory over Purdue was its first win there since beating Butler in 1922. Kyle Brindza’s 49th career field goal, a 19-yarder in the second quarter, moved him into second place in school history, trailing only John Carney’s 51 from 1984-86.
9/6: Notre Dame 31, Michigan 0
The 31-point win was the Fighting Irish’s largest in the series against the Wolverines, and it came in the teams' final scheduled meeting. The previous mark was a 23-point win in 1943. This was the first time Notre Dame shut out Michigan in 42 meetings. The Irish did not commit a turnover, improving to 15-0 under coach Brian Kelly when playing turnover-free.
8/30: Notre Dame 48 Rice 17
The 48 points for the Fighting Irish were their most in a home opener since 1999 against Kansas. It was Notre Dame’s 100th home opener victory, and the program is now 100-20-5 all-time in such games. Everett Golson’s three rushing touchdowns tied a Notre Dame record for a quarterback, matching Paul Hornung against North Carolina in 1956 and Jarious Jackson against Stanford in 1998.

11/8: Louisville 38, Boston College 19
The Cardinals overcame a 10-point deficit early in the second quarter to win 38-19. Safety Gerod Holliman had three interceptions to set up Louisville scores, including one on the first play of the game. Quarterback Will Gardner completed 13 of 18 passes for 188 yards, and DeVante Parker rushed for 144 yards and one touchdown on eight carries.
10/30: Florida State 42, Louisville 31
The Cardinals led by 21 in the second quarter, the largest deficit Florida State has faced the last two seasons. They intercepted Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston three times, the highest single-game total of his career. Louisville allowed 574 yards of total offense, the most it has allowed since 2012. The Cardinals were just 1-for-11 on third downs offensively, and Florida State rallied to win the game.
10/18: Louisville 30, NC State 18
Running back Michael Dyer led the way for the Cardinals, with 173 rushing yards on 24 carries. His touchdown with 44 seconds remaining put the game out of reach. It was Dyer's first 100-yard game with Louisville after recording ten such games in two seasons with Auburn. Senior receiver DeVante Parker, who tied a school record with 12 touchdowns last season, made his season debut after being held out previously with a foot injury. He caught nine passes for 132 yards, including a 37-yard grab on his first snap of the season.
10/11: Clemson 23, Louisville 17
The Cardinals nearly upended the Tigers in Death Valley with a last-minute comeback attempt. Louisville started its final drive of the game deep in its own territory, trailing by six with 1:20 left to play. Will Gardner found James Quick for a 73-yard completion on the first play of the drive to give Louisville a first-and-goal at the Clemson 8-yard line, but the Cardinals couldn't find the end zone and turned the ball over on downs.
10/03: Louisville 28, Syracuse 6
The Cardinal defense recorded two safeties and had two interceptions. Brandon Radcliff ran for 110 yards and two touchdowns. Louisville came into the game with the best rushing defense in the nation, allowing 58.2 yards per game. They held the Orange to 59 yards on the ground.
09/27: Louisville 20, Wake Forest 10
The Cardinals rallied with 13 points in the fourth quarter, taking the lead for good on a 16-yard run by Brandon Radcliff with 11:41 remaining in regulation. Louisville has forced 13 turnovers in five games, the most at this point in the season since the 2005 team had 14. The Cardinals held Wake Forest to minus-22 yards rushing, the fewest allowed since holding Grambling to minus-56 in 2000.
09/20: Louisville 34, FIU 3
Running back Michael Dyer saw his first action of the season after missing the first three games with an injured quad. He had 16 yards on eight carries. Wide receiver James Quick had a career-high 174 yards receiving on seven catches, the most receiving yards for a Louisville player since Arnold Jackson had 174 against Cincinnati in 1999. Safety GerodHolliman had two interceptions for the second straight game and has five on the season.
09/13: Virginia 23, Louisville 21
The Cavaliers won it on Ian Frye’s 42-yard field goal with 3:41 to go. Louisville went three-and-out and punted from its own three-yard line with 2:38 left, but never got the ball back. The Cardinals’ eight-game winning streak -- the second-longest in the nation -- was snapped with the loss.
09/06: Louisville 66, Murray State 21
The Cardinals’ 45 points in the first half were their most in an opening half since scoring 49 against Murray State in 2007. Louisville had six rushing touchdowns and had two players -- Reggie Bonnafon and Brandon Radcliff -- with at least two apiece for the first time since 2006. The Cardinals rushed for 325 yards, their highest total since 2008.
09/01: Louisville 31, Miami 13
Louisville is now 2-3 in its first-ever game in a new conference. The Cardinals beatTemple last year in their American Athletic Conference debut. The Cardinals haven’t allowed a first-quarter touchdown in 15 straight games. Dominique Brownrushed for a career-high 143 yards and scored a touchdown on a career-best 33 carries.
