Florida State announced Thursday that senior running back Karlos Williams will not play in Saturday's ACC championship game against Georgia Tech because of a concussion. Over 11 games this season, Williams has rushed for 609 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Florida Stateannounced Thursday that senior running back Karlos Williams will not play in Saturday's ACC championship game against Georgia Tech because of a concussion.

In 11 games this season, Williams has rushed for 609 yards and 10 touchdowns.

With Williams sidelined, true freshman Dalvin Cook, who leads the Seminoles with 728 rushing yards this season, expected to start. Sophomore Mario Pender could also see his workload increase.

Florida State (12-0) was ranked fourth in the latest edition of the College Football Playoff rankings.

If they beat the No. 11 Yellow Jackets (10-2) on Saturday, the Seminoles are expected to remain in the top four, meaning they would have a spot in one of the two Playoff semifinals.

The Playoff selection committee will announce the four teams selected to the Playoff on Sunday.
