San Diego State announced that forward Dwayne Polee II was released from the hospital Tuesday after staying overnight Monday, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Polee was taken to the hospital after collapsing during the Aztecs' game against UC Riverside on Monday night. He now awaits the results of several tests he underwent to determine the cause of the incident.

From the Union-Tribune:

An SDSU spokesman said Polee is “resting at home” and “can resume normal everyday activity,” although he has not yet been cleared to practice or play basketball. That determination could takes days or weeks, depending on results from the preliminary round of tests and whether further tests are necessary.

After [Monday's] game, [head coach Steve] Fisher said: “We will just pray that the tests can be run and can determine what the cause of it might be and move forward from there. Our No. 1 thought right now is for Dwayne Polee and he is in a spot right now where the experts will be able to take care of him.”

With 11:08 remaining in the first half against UC Riverside, Polee was chasing his man on defense when he suddenly fell to the court, apparently unconscious.

Immediately tended to by medical personnel, Polee remained on the floor for about 15 minutes before being taken off on a stretcher to an ambulance. He was conscious when he left the floor, receiving a standing ovation from the home crowd.

Polee, a senior, is averaging 8.4 points and 2.8 rebounds per game this season.

San Diego State doesn't play again until Dec. 31 against Air Force.
