Syracuse could redshirt junior center DaJuan Coleman, according to Syracuse.com.

Coleman has not played since Jan. 7 and is still recovering from an OATS procedure on his knee that ended his 2013-14 season early. The surgery was designed to re-grow cartilage in his knee.

Orange coach Jim Boeheim said he will wait for a couple more weeks for Coleman to prove that he can play this season, but that it seems likely right now that the junior will redshirt.

"That's what it looks like. But I want to give him a little bit more opportunity to see," said Boeheim. "That's increasingly what it looks like unless he can put together five or six days and felt really good. He hasn't been able to do that. So we'll have to see."

According to Syracuse.com, Coleman has been participating in most drills, but takes himself out of practice sometimes to ride a stationary bike instead.

Coleman averaged 4.3 points and 4.2 rebounds in 13 minutes per game last season before his injury.
