South Florida RB coach Telly Lockette hired to same role at Oregon State

South Florida running backs coach Telly Lockette has been hired to the same position at Oregon State.
Lockette, 40, has spent the past two seasons with the Bulls. A touted recruiter, he arrived after leading Miami Central High to two Class 6A state championships in three consecutive title game appearances.
In five seasons as head coach at Miami Central, Lockette had a 60-10 record. Prior to that, he was an assistant at his alma mater, Miami Northwestern High, for four seasons, the last three as offensive coordinator.
During Lockette’s last season at the legendary powerhouse in 2006, he won a state title. A Miami native, he played linebacker from 1995-98 at Idaho State, where he was a two-time Division I-AA All-America selection.
Lockette completes the staff of new Oregon State coach Gary Andersen, who stunningly left Wisconsin after two seasons earlier this month. Andersen replaces Mike Riley, the winningest coach in Oregon State history, who departed for Nebraska.
