King played one season at Kansas after transferring from Maryland, where he spent three seasons. He was immediately eligible as a graduate transfer.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound junior caught 29 passes for 518 yards and one touchdown for the Jayhawks.
"I felt like I was ready to come out," King said in a news release. "In my heart this is what I wanted to do. My time at Kansas was a great experience. I learned a lot from the coaches and met some really great people."
Kansas went 3-9 this season.
