Syracuse freshman Chris McCullough has torn ACL
Syracuse freshman Chris McCullough has a torn ACL in his right knee, the team announced Monday. He will miss the remainder of the season.
McCullough, a highly-touted 6-foot-10, 220-pound forward, injured the knee during Sunday's 70-57 victory over Florida State. Midway through the first half, his right knee appeared to buckle as he attempted to catch a high pass in transition. McCullough did not return to the bench in the second half.
Through 16 games, McCullough was Syracuse's second-leading rebounder (6.9 per game) and shot-blocker (2.1), and fourth-leading scorer (9.3 points). He came to Syracuse as a five-star recruit and the No. 21 player in the class of 2014, according to 247Sports.com's composite rankings.

He was struggling offensively over the past few weeks. After scoring in double-digits in his first eight games, McCullough didn't score more than seven points in any contest since.
Without McCullough, 6-foot-8 sophomore Tyler Roberson could receive increased playing time.
Syracuse (12-4) lost four games in non-conference play, but won its first three ACC games. The Orange will host Wake Forest (9-8) on Tuesday.
