Georgia forward Yante Maten suffered a concussion after being hit by a car on Sunday night and will miss Wednesday's game against Vanderbilt, Bulldogs coach Mark Fox announced.

Maten, a freshman, was struck while using a crosswalk on campus. The school has not provided a timetable for his return, saying he will need to pass the concussion protocol.

The 6-foot-8 forward has played in all 14 games for the Bulldogs this season. He leads the team with 26 blocks and is averaging 4.9 points and 3.6 rebounds. He was a three-star recruit out of Pontiac, Mich.

Georgia is 9-5 on the season and has opened Southeastern Conference play with losses to Arkansas and LSU.

The Bulldogs play at the Commodores on Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET.
