VCU guard Briante Weber suffers torn ACL, MCL, meniscus
VCU guard Briante Weber tore the ACL, MCL and meniscus in his right knee during Saturday's loss to Richmond, the team announced.
With less than four minutes remaining in the second half, Weber dribbled into the lane, jumped and landed in front of a Spiders defender. When he leapt a second time, Weber passed the ball to a teammate and clutched his right knee.
After the play, he lay on the court in pain. Weber later returned to the bench on crutches.
