Ohio State sophomore forward Marc Loving did not travel with the team for Wednesday's game at Purdue, the Buckeyes announced.

"Sophomore forward Marc Loving did not travel with the Ohio State men's basketball team to Purdue," the team said in a statement. "Loving has temporarily lost the privilege to wear the scarlet and gray."

Through 22 games, Loving was Ohio State's second leading scorer with 11.7 points per game. He also averaged 3.9 rebounds per game and was shooting 49.1 percent from the field and a team-high 53.2 percent from three-point range.

In OSU's last game, a Jan. 29 win over Maryland, Loving tied his career high with 19 points and pulled down six rebounds.

The 6'7 forward has started 19 games this season, helping the Buckeyes to a 17-5 start.

At 6-3 in Big Ten play, No. 20 Ohio State entered Wednesday tied for second in the conference behind No. 5 Wisconsin and No. 17 Maryland.

The Buckeyes entered Wednesday with a three-game winning streak. After Purdue, they will travel to Rutgers on Sunday.
