Al Borges hired as San Jose State's offensive coordinator
San Jose State has named Al Borges its offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, the school announced on Thursday.

Borges did not coach last year after serving three seasons in the same position at Michigan under former Wolverines coach Brady Hoke.
During his three seasons at Michigan, the team ranked 42nd, 79th and 87th, respectively, in total offense.
Borges has also had stops at San Diego State, Auburn and Indiana, among other programs. Borges and current San Jose State head coach Ron Caragher coached together at UCLA.
The Spartans also announced that they have hired Dan Ferrigno, who spent the past four seasons at Michigan, as their special teams coordinator and tight ends coach.
San Jose State went 3-9 last season.
