Providence Friars coach Ed Cooley released from hospital
Providence men's basketball coach Ed Cooley has been released from a Cincinnati hospital one day after leaving the court in the middle of a game, according to the school.
Cooley left the Cintas Center floor near the 18-minute mark in the second half of Providence's game against Xavier on Saturday. He had appeared to be ill on the sidelines,
He was taken to a Cincinnati hospital with the game still in progress. Friars assistants Andre LaFleur and Bob Simon assumed coaching duties for the remainder of the game in Cooley's absence.

While the team traveled back to Providence after the game, Cooley stayed behind to recuperate. No official diagnosis of Cooley's condition has been announced. Cooley was feeling "very well" according to an ESPN.com report following the game.
Cooley intends to coach the Friars on Wednesday when they play Villanova, according to the school's release.
