Five-star QB Shea Patterson commits to Ole Miss over LSU, USC
Shea Patterson, a five-star quarterback in the class of 2016, committed to Ole Miss on Tuesday.
Patterson was ranked No. 3 in the latest Rivals 100 player rankings.
Patterson, who goes to high school in Shreveport, La., originally committed to Arizona as a freshman in December of 2012. His brother, Sean, was working as a graduate assistant for the Wildcats at the time.
The next summer, Patterson was offered a scholarship by LSU, which hired Sean soon after the offer. Patterson then looked set to play for the Tigers, but 247 Sports reported this month that Sean would be moving from Baton Rouge to Ole Miss, a move which the family has denied, but ratcheted up speculation that Patterson would play for the Rebels.
Patterson confirmed the speculation today, making his announcement on a livestream and donning an Ole Miss hat.
The Louisiana native threw 38 touchdown passes and only three interceptions in 2014.
