Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliottconfirmed on Twitter that he will have a second surgery on his injured left wrist on Friday.
Elliott was injured last summer and had surgery on the wrist before the season started.
He starred in the Buckeyes' national championship run, rushing for 1,878 yards and 18 touchdowns, including 36 carries for 246 yards in Ohio State's 42-20 win over Oregon for the national title. Elliott won the game's offensive MVP honors.

Ohio State's spring practice starts in three weeks, and the team will be without quarterbacks Braxton Miller and J.T. Barrett, who both suffered season-ending injuries in 2014.
