Florida forward Dorian Finney-Smith has been reinstated, the school announced on Friday. Finney-Smith sat out three games after being suspended indefinitely for violating team rules.

"He’s taken care of all his responsibilities and everything we’ve asked him to do,” Gators coach Billy Donovan said. “I still feel like he needs to understand that when it comes to some of the choices he’s made there are other people affected by it. From my perspective, he’s got to earn back some trust from our team and show a higher level of commitment, especially being an older guy.” 

The 6-foot-8 forward also missed the first two regular season games of the 2013-14 season after being suspended for a team rules violation. This season Finney-Smith has averaged a team-high 5.8 rebounds and 12.9 points per game, which ranks second on the team.

With Finney-Smith out of the lineup, Florida went 1-2 with a win over Vanderbilt and losses to LSU and Missouri. The Gators (13-15, 6-9 SEC) will host Tennessee on Saturday before closing the regular season with games against Texas A&M and at Kentucky.

Junior guard Michael Frazier, who leads the Gators with 13.2 points per game, reportedly is doubtful for the game against the Volunteers.
