College basketball coaching change tracker
March Madness isn't just about the NCAA tournament; there are also plenty of coaching changes in college basketball this time of year. We'll keep track of them here.
Alabama: Anthony Grant was fired after six seasons with the Crimson Tide. His teams made one NCAA tournament appearance and two NIT appearances.
George Mason: Paul Hewitt was fired after four seasons in charge of the Patriots. His team was eliminated in the first round of the Atlantic 10 tournament by Fordham for the second straight year.
Charlotte: Head coach Alan Major and the school mutually agreed to part ways due to medical issues. Major had two eye surgeries and a heart surgery last summer. He took a leave of absence in January.
Georgia Tech: Brian Gregory is reportedly expected to return despite compiling a 55-71 record in four seasons.
Nevada: David Carter was fired after six seasons with the Wolf Pack. He was an assistant coach from 1999 to 2009 and replaced Mark Fox when Fox took the head coaching job at Georgia.
DePaul: Oliver Purnellresigned after accumulating a 54-105 record in five seasons. The Blue Demons failed to win more than 12 games in a season under his watch.
Penn: Jerome Allen announced before the team's final game that he would resign at the end of the season. The Quakers were 9-19 this season and 4-10 in the Ivy League, tied for last in the conference.
UIC: Howard Moore's contract was not renewed after he posted a 49-111 record in five seasons with the Flames.
The Citadel: Chuck Driesell's contract was not renewed after he failed to win more than 11 games in a season with the Bulldogs.
Liberty: Dale Layer was fired after his team lost in the Big South tournament. The Flames were 82-113 in six seasons under his watch.
Holy Cross: Milan Brown was fired after five seasons with the Crusaders. After finishing 20-14 last season, Holy Cross was 14-16 this season.
