BYU senior guard Tyler Haws moved into the top 20 in all-time NCAA scoring on Tuesday night vs. Ole Miss.
The nation's third-highest scorer in 2014-15 entered the NCAA tournament's First Four matchup with 2,687 career points. After a 19-point first-half performance, he scored two early in the second half to tie Northeastern's Reggie Lewis for No. 20 all-time. With 8:37 to go, Haws converted a jumper and scored his 2,710th career point and took sole possession of No. 20.
BYU would eventually fall to Ole Miss 94-90, ending Haws's incredible career. He finishes with 2,720 points, three points shy of the late Hank Gathers at No. 19 who scored 2,723 points at the University of Southern California and Loyola Marymount.
