Kentucky's John Calipari named AP Coach of Year

Kentucky head coach John Calipari has been named the Associated Press Coach of the Year, it was announced on Friday. 

Calipari received 40 out of 65 votes, while Virginia coach Tony Bennett came in second with nine votes and Notre Dame coach Mike Brey received five votes to come in third. 

The Wildcats head into the Final Four with a perfect 38-0 record. They are looking to become the first men's college basketball team to go undefeated in a season since Indiana went 32-0 in 1975-76.

Kentucky has been ranked No. 1 in the AP poll the entire season, and Calipari was recently named the SEC Coach of the Year.

Wisconsin forward Frank Kaminskywas named the AP Player of the Year on Friday. 

The Wildcats play the Badgers in the Final Four on Saturday. The two teams also faced off in the Final Four last season, with Kentucky winning 74-73.
