Cleveland State guard Trey Lewis will transfer to Louisville

Cleveland State guard Trey Lewis announced Tuesday that he will transfer to Louisville.
Lewis is scheduled to graduate from Cleveland State this spring and will be immediately eligible to play next season as a grad student for the Cardinals, his final year of eligibility. He chose Louisville over interest in Ohio State and Xavier.

The 6'2" guard averaged 16.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game last season for the Vikings, topping 30 points twice. He was named to the Horizon League first-team.
"What it came down to was the need and the want from Louisville was the perfect situation for me and what I'm looking for going into this last year," Lewis told the Plain Dealer in Cleveland.
Lewis spent his freshman year at Penn State before transferring to Cleveland State, sitting out the 2012-13 season.

The Cardinals went 27–9 this season, losing to Michigan State in the Elite Eight. Louisville coach Rick Pitino has said that both junior forward Montrezl Harrell and sophomore guard Terry Rozier are "100 percent" entering the NBA draft, and guard Anton Gill has received his release and will transfer.
