Jeremy Johnson named Auburn's starting quarterback for 2015
Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn announced Monday that Jeremy Johnson has been named the team's starting quarterback for the 2015 season.
Johnson, who will be a junior in the fall, spent the last two seasons backing up the now-departed Nick Marshall and made two starts.
Filling in for a suspended Marshall in the first half of the team's opener last season, Johnson completed 12-of-16 passes for 243 yards and threw two touchdowns. For the season, he completed 28-of-37 attempts for 436 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions.

Coming out of high school, Johnson was a four-star, top 100 recruit. As a true freshman in 2013, he completed 29-of-41 passes and threw six touchdowns and two interceptions.
Auburn held its annual spring game last Saturday and is holding its final spring practice on Monday.
