Washington transfer Nigel Williams-Goss will transfer to Gonzaga, he told CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein. He will be required to sit out the 2015–2016 season as mandated by transfer rules.

Williams-Goss will have two years of eligibility remaining. As a sophomore, he led the Huskies with 15.6 points and 5.9 assists, ranked third with 4.7 rebounds per game and garnered second-team All-Pac-12 honors.

"I feel that their track record of winning at a high level, developing players during their redshirt year and their up-tempo offense that includes a ton of ball screens is an overall good fit for me," Williams-Goss said of Gonzaga to ESPN.com.

Williams-Goss was released from Washington's program last month because he was "uncomfortable" with changes surrounding the team, The Seattle Timesreported.

"With two years of eligibility there's still some things I do want to accomplish in college," he told the Times. "And when it came down to it, I just felt like with all the changes in the program—and then those other things I just mentioned—I just felt most comfortable with choosing a different school."

Washington finished 16–15 and 5–13 in Pac-12 play.

Gonzaga finished 35–3 and 17–1 in WCC play, losing to eventual national champion Duke in the Elite Eight. Kyle Wiltjer, a former Kentucky transfer, led the Bulldogs with 16.7 points and was second on the team with 6.0 rebounds per game.
