Ole Missannounced a four-year contract extension for head coach Andy Kennedy on Tuesday.

The extension contains a base salary of $1.925 million and will keep Kennedy at the school through 2019.

"The future of Ole Miss basketball could not be stronger," said athletic director Ross Bjork. "Andy Kennedy is the core of that strength and we are pleased to announce his contract has been extended four more years. Coach Kennedy has built his legacy among the top coaches in SEC history, and I look forward to him leading the Rebels into a new era with the opening of the Pavilion at Ole Miss."

Kennedy, who was hired as Rebels coach in 2006, is the all-time winningest coach in Ole Miss history. He has a 192–114 career mark at the school and has reached the NCAA tournament in two of the last three seasons.

GARDNER: 2015's most disappointing players

Ole Miss won the 2013 SEC tournament under Kennedy and tied a school record with 27 wins that year.

In 2014-15, the Rebels went 21–13 and earned a No. 11 seed in the tournament. Ole Miss won a First Four game against BYU before falling to Xavier in the Round of 64.
