Braxton Miller has been working out at wide receiver all summer
Ohio State's Braxton Miller has spent all summer watching film and working out as a wide receiver, reports SI's Pete Thamel.
Miller has been catching passes from quarterbacks Cardale Jones and J.T. Barrett since the position switch become possible as a fallback plan. He told Thamel that he has spent four hours a day watching film and catching passes.
Thamel broke the news on Thursday that Miller is moving from quarterback to H-Back, a hybrid receiver position.
“At first it was an awkward feeling,” Miller told Thamel about his receiver workouts. “But for the past eight weeks I’ve been on top of things.”

A two-time Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year as a quarterback, Miller missed all of last season after sustaining a torn labrum during preseason camp. He had been expected to compete for the Buckeyes’ starting quarterback role this year along with Jones and Barrett, creating a logjam at the position.
Earlier this month, Miller announced that he would return to Ohio State in 2015 amid an off-season that featured transfer rumors.
After Miller sustained his shoulder injury in 2014, Barrett took over as the starting quarterback. He led the Buckeyes to a 10–1 record before breaking his ankle against Michigan in the regular-season finale.
Jones then took over and made his first career start in the Big Ten Championship Game, winning three games in a row to help Ohio State win the national title.
