Five-star 2016 power forward T.J. Leaf announced on Thursday that he has decommitted from Arizona

Leaf committed to the Wildcats in November, choosing them over offers from Duke, Florida, Louisville, Texas, Wisconsin and others.

“The school and staff of Arizona have been great to me and I have nothing but respect for Coach [Sean] Miller and the entire staff and wish them nothing but the best. But at this point in my life I know it is best to explore my options and pursue other basketball opportunities,” Leaf wrote on Twitter.

A native of El Cajon, Calif., Leaf is ranked as the No. 12 player in his class by Rivals.com. He was the only Arizona commit from the 2016 recruiting class prior to his decommitment.
