Reigning MAC Player of the Year Justin Moss is one of three Buffalo players accused of stealing $650 from a dorm room belonging to two football players, according to a campus police report obtained by The Buffalo News.

Moss, senior forward Raheem Johnson and sophomore guard Mory Diane allegedly took the money in June and later returned it to the two victims, who agreed not to press charges.

Though the players won’t face criminal charges, the case will be reviewed by the Student-Wide Judiciary, the school’s student misconduct body. The harshest possible penalty would be expulsion from the university. The News also reported that the players could be ruled ineligible for the first semester of the school year.

Moss won Player of the Year honors after averaging 17.5 points and 9.2 rebounds per game, helping lead the Bulls to their first NCAA tournament appearance in school history.

Johnson came off the bench in all 33 of Buffalo’s games last season, averaging 2.8 points. Diane played in four games before being declared academically ineligible for the second semester.
