Arkansas running back Jonathan Williams will be out for the entire 2015 regular season with a foot injury he sustained in Saturday's scrimmage, head coach Bret Bielema announced on Monday.

“I have no doubt that Jonathan will come back stronger than ever,” Bielema said. “Anyone that knows Jonathan Williams knows this is just another opportunity for him to prove the man of character and substance that he really is.”

The senior's injury will require surgery, but he is expected to make a full recovery.

In his three years with the Razorbacks, Williams has collected 2,321 career rushing yards for 16 touchdowns. Last year, Williams led the Razorbacks with 1,255 yards and 14 touchdowns. He was named to the preseason watch list for the Maxwell Award and Doak Walker Award.

Arkansas finished last in the SEC West last season with a 7–6 record.
